About Nali

Nali is an Āyurvedic Practitioner, an Āyurvedic Health Counsellor, certified by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Certification Board (NAMACB), and a professional member of the Ayurveda Association of Canada. She is also an Ashtanga yoga teacher. Completing her intermediate studies in Āyurveda and becoming an Āyurvedic Practitioner, she has gained an understanding of a wider range of āyurvedic medicinal herbs and a deeper knowledge of various conditions and the disease process. She has studied traditional āyurveda and has been fortunate enough to learn from some great teachers with ties to traditional lineage. While staying true to its ancient roots & traditions, she understands how to effectively interweave āyurvedic principles with modern day demands.
Nali has always been a strong believer in taking a holistic, natural approach to health. She was always convinced that there was a better approach out there to long term preventative health and wellbeing than what we are currently aware of. As soon as Nali started diving deeper into Ayurveda, she loved every aspect of its teachings. It all just made sense! The way its foundations are rooted in nature, and how it teaches us to re-connect back to nature and our true selves. It’s beautiful way of looking at the individual as a whole, its personalised approach, how it strengthens the body to prevent reoccurrence, and so much more. It drastically improved aspects of her own health giving her a sense of empowerment, and inspiring her to help others feel the same. She knew she had found her true calling.
Nali believes everyone has the ability to self-heal, and she intends to do just that; awaken your inner healer.
Nali offers Ayurvedic health consultations online for anyone around the globe, and in person in Fernie BC. She has been living in Fernie for the last ten years. Prior to settling in the Elk Valley, she lived in the UK, where she grew up. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) with Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2014, and has travelled to many different countries for study, work, or leisure over the years. Since settling in Fernie, she has been an avid practitioner of yoga, enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, and relaxing by the river in the summertime. She loves living in the mountains and is grateful for the abundance of nature that surrounds her right on her doorstep.
Nali studied āyurvedic medicine at the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda from 2022-2025, where she has attended class both online, and in person in Minneapolis, and in India. Attending classes and completing an internship in India allowed her to further explore and gain insight about this ancient system of healthcare right from its birthplace. While in India, she also completed a 200 hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Mysore. As a sister science to āyurveda, yoga is deeply connected to the wellbeing of mind, body and soul.
Nali is deeply dedicated to the study of Ayurvedic medicine, and her studies will not be ending there. She will be continuing her studies for another rigorous three years, with the doctoral certification in Ayurvedic medicine, the highest level of study of Ayurvedic medicine in North America. Ayurveda is a comprehensive system of natural medicine that can effectively manage various imbalances and diseases, and in order to be able to provide the best guidance and support to her clients, gaining deep, broad knowledge and a high-quality education is crucial. While learning in Ayurveda is a lifelong journey, Nali is fully committed to it, and enthusiastic about it!
Nali is excited to share the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with you and guide you towards better health & wellbeing for a better quality of life and joy of living.
